My early work included representational, figurative paintings in watercolours, gouache and oils. These became increasingly imaginative as I journeyed into exploring Art Therapy and Psychotherapy. Influenced also by Indian art, I began to create luminous, colourful abstract paintings, which some say have a strong spiritual feel.
More recently, I completed an MA in Fine Art (MA), when I developed mixed media work using Painting, Photography, Text and Digital Film to explore interests in art, psychology and meditation. My work is in private and public collections in Europe and the USA.
In addition to traditional teaching methods such as talks, demonstrations, discussions, step by step explorations and projects, in some courses and workshops I also draw on my background in art therapy and meditation to offer students experiences which incorporate visualisation, mindfulness, working through creative blocks, inner journeying and self discovery.
