Experiment with different ways of using oil painting to express yourself creatively! There will be step by step tuition, demonstrations and practical exercises showing techniques including underpainting, glazes, palette knife, brushwork and impasto using oil paint, along with individual guidance. Use of materials is included, so you can try this course before deciding if this art medium is for you.

While experimenting with the medium you can either explore a theme of personal interest, or experiment with free painting from within. Some basic drawing and colour mixing skills would be useful, but not essential.

Be prepared to get messy! Please note white spirit, turpentine and linseed oil are used along with an option to use a low odour thinner. If this is a problem for you, please phone Zangmo on 01379 651355 to discuss options.
