Distance and Blended Learning
Personalised Art & Photography Courses

and Creativity Coaching individually designed for you

Enjoy a range of flexible, totally personalised ways to learn Art and Photography from home!

Combine correspondence art or photography lessons and creativity coaching by snail mail, phone, online Skype and email learning with occasional in person one-to-one creativity breaks and art or photography retreats for experiences best suited to your needs, aspirations and personal interests.

You tell me what you would like to explore or learn, and I will suggest options for ways of working using combinations of home study distance learning and/or in person learning drawing, painting or photography. This is an extremely flexible way to learning which can fit around your own lifestyle and needs.

If you are unable to visit Bressingham, Diss, Norfolk for regular Drawing, Painting, Digital Photography Tuition, or Creativity Coaching with me, then these flexible options using distance or blended learning or creativity coaching could be the answer for you.

Personalised Distance and Blended Learning combines a range of methods to most benefit you. For example, you may be learning art at home, and sending me emails of your work, which we then discuss on the phone on a fortnightly basis. To enhance your learning, at intervals you might want to visit me for one-to-one intensive retreat style art workshops to discuss your painting process, learn new drawing and painting skills, explore new ideas, troubleshoot any stuckness in whatever way we have agreed beforehand. You then go home and practise what you have learned, which you then email me and we discuss on the phone, and so on.

You may even decide to combine your visits with an art break or painting holiday with family or friends, as I live in a pleasant, rural village with several excellent bed and breakfasts nearby.

What we do and when is entirely flexible, as we are not following a pre-set course.

You can mix and match, depending on what you need:

  • Sessions in person with me, including meeting for one-to-one creativity retreats, art breaks, art lessons or art workshops. This can be on an occasional basis or regular. Meetings can be from 2 hours to several days - it's up to you!

  • Postal: you send me your work with comments and I will post you back feedback

  • Email: You email me your work, which we can then use as a basis for discussion and feedback

  • Phone-ins on a regular basis: these are really useful in helping you keep going with your work

  • Skype: I resisted Skype for a long time, until I had to use it to keep in contact with my son! It is easy to set up, and we can speak free of cost and even use video if you have a webcam. It's a great way to have a conversation at a distance.

How can personalised distance or blended learning benefit me?

Some people find they cannot sustain motivation using only distance learning. With blended learning you have the option of more in person input from me, when we can work together to encourage you to keep up energy and enthusiasm.

Distance or blended learning art or photography tuition and coaching offers you very flexible options to fit in with your lifestyle, your needs and what you can afford.

How do we decide what to do?

Together we discuss your needs and agree what would be the best combination for you. My aim is to support you in finding what are the best options to meet you needs and interests.
